That’s right, I’m late with the newsletter this week. 😢 I had a busy weekend, but I wanted to get something out this week. So, we’ll have nice dev report and then be back to normal next Tuesday.

🧪 Dev report

I was able to develop a roll of Ilford HP5+ last week with some positive results. I’m still really enjoying the look of HP5+. For this roll I shot it at ISO 1600, so I pushed it 2 stops. I needed a pretty strong solution or otherwise the dev time was going to be 24 minutes!

• 🎞️ Film: Ilford HP5+ (35mm)

• 🧪 Developer: Rodinal

• 💧 Dilution: 1+25

  • 19ml developer + 466ml water

• 🌡️ Temp: ~68º F

• ⏱️ Times:

  • 🧪 Dev: 12:00

  • ✋ Stop Bath: 1:00

  • 🔧 Fix: 5:00

  • 🧼 Hypo Clear: 2:00

  • 🚿 Final Wash: 10 fill ups

• 👋 Agitation: 1 continuous minute then 10 seconds every minute.
